900,000 signatures
turned in
Need 200,000
in next 3 weeks
As of Monday, March 24, the
number of signatures for Sarah's Law has topped 900,000 - out of 1.1 million needed
to qualify for the November ballot.
Sarah's Law will require that a doctor will notify the parents of
an under-18-year-old girl before
performing an abortion on her. In the case of abusive
parents, the doctor can notify any adult family member.
Please gather signatures the next two weekends - March 29/30 and April 5/6.
If your church or group has not yet gathered signatures for Sarah's Law, please
call toll-free (866) 828-8355 and we will ship you petitions right away.
Blue envelopes
available.
If your church or group has
already gathered signatures for Sarah's Law, but would like to help in one, small,
easy way, call toll-free (866) 828-8355 and we will send you 6" x 9" Blue envelopes
to hand out to your churchgoers or friends - at no charge.
Each blue envelope contains two petitions, instructions,
a flyer, and a return envelope.
This is an excellent tool
for parishioners to get signatures and spread the Gospel of Life to friends, neighbors,
family members, and co-workers.
Diana Lopez
calls in.
In conjunction with a marathon
afternoon of signature gathering at the San Diego radio station KOGO on March 13,
Diana Lopez, the mother of a 13-year-old who got an abortion without her knowledge,
called in.
Lopez, who story has been told by Sarah's Law
proponents on the website and in flyers, told her story again to radio host Roger
Hedgecock for a full five minutes.
According to witnesses in the parking lot near the radio station, there had been
a carnival atmosphere as radio listeners drove up to sign petitions and hot dogs
and hamburgers were served.
During the whole five minutes, the witness said, "you could hear a pin drop."
